5 Ideas To Repurpose Your Long Video Content

So you spent hours and plenty of resources in creating your video for a specific purpose. But is that all it is for? Creating videos can take hours. So why not milk it for what it’s worth?

Your video can be repurposed across different channels, especially on social media. Instead of having to create a video specially for your social media of choice, you can just adapt from your original video! Here are some ideas.

Idea 1: Short videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook etc.

Create video contents with a specific channel in mind. You need to be mindful of the specs for each channel. That being said, some of the channels have overlapping specs like TikTok, Instagram Stories and Facebook Stories. So you would only need to create one video that can be shared across the three channels.

Idea 2: Podcast and Audio clip for Reels or Tiktok

You can also use the audio from the video to make a podcast, or if you have an interesting 15-sec audio, why not turn it into an audio clip which can be used for Instagram Reels or Tiktok?

Idea 3: Social media graphics

Another content type that works is social media graphics. Pick out important points, quotes or information to design graphics for Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Graphics are quicker to consume and can generate interest in your audience. Don’t stop at static graphics, try out animated GIFs!

Idea 4: Blog posts

Why not convert your video into a blogpost? It allows you to elaborate on the content in your video and also helps to boost your search engine rankings! Export the transcribed text from the video and make changes to the content to make it more suitable for your readers. Include images, graphs, and other images to make it more visually appealing.

Idea 5: Email content

Email marketing is the most effective channel and you need to constantly deliver informative and engaging emails to your subscribers. So instead of sending the whole video to your subscribers, why not break it down into smaller videos, turn it into a series and send it out across several weeks? It keeps the excitement around the topics but also allows for some form of discussion.

There are many more ways to repurpose your videos. What are some of your ways?
